My most recent flight was back on December 31. Since then I took the airplane down to take care of the small issues.
1. Install static ports on the fuselage-
2. Remove the plenum and add baffle material to cure warm running engine-
3. Remove throttle quadrant as it touched my left knee- reindexing not an option. Moving the throttle, prop and mixture to a mount just under the center of the panel. Also requires changing my right hand Infinity stick grip to a left hand grip.

Try as I might, I can’t get comfortable with putting the throttle quadrant on the left. The plane is too small. I could only see putting it there if it were forward, below the panel. Mine will stay in the center. Now on the racer......

I have the new throttle bracket made. Now it has to be located and attached to the panel.
Engine baffles are almost done.
Plan to fly again on feb 27.
Should be able to get phase 1 complete by mid March

We’re all waiting to see it in Sedona!
It was pretty exciting for me in our new plane. I remember you were first to welcome us.

As much as I thought I would get the airplane back in the air today ...it’ll most likely be tomorrow afternoon. With all the changes, I wanted to get a second set of eyes on all the changes to make sure things are safetied, cotter pined, or torque sealed after tightening the jam nuts on the new throttle, prop and mixture. Plus checking for full unobstructed travel on all 3.
Then the cowl will go on for final fit for the new baffle material..and it’s fly time
