Ok Gents it's time to start talking about T-Shirts for Oshkosh. We had quite a few slogans going last year.

Here's the link to that conversation.

viewtopic.php?f=29&t=6680

I'd like to somehow use the new Thorp Air Command logo in some way.

Any suggestions?

I was eyeing all those awesome 2011 OSH shirts last weekend. Count me in on a Large Shirt - whatever the design consensus.

Lee,

Definitely would like a shirt! Like your idea of including the TAC logo and Pat's "Living the ... "

PS: Somewhat off topic BUT I'm hoping to get the Air Venture this year. Where do you guys usually part?

here's another thought ..

logo on front ...

on the back ...

last year the Tailwind guys had a pretty cool T-Shirt ... my thought is something similar.

Here goes;

Picture a cartoonish drawing portraying a few RV-6/7's flying in a bad formation, above that picture a classy looking Thorp Flying over them.

Then a caption "RV whatever Romeo Victor, be advised overtaking traffic at your six-o-clock, 2K feet above Thorp T-18"

or something like that ....

This is only a draft ... color will most likely not be white ... gets dirty too easily.

Here are the slogans from last year ...

T-18 Metal Speedster.
T-18...Get in, sit down, hold on.
T-18, all others in my gun site.
T-18, all the fun 1/2 the cost
"Forget paper or plastic, make mine metal, Thorp T-18"
"Thorp T-18...anything less would be an RV"
"Scratch Built. Roll it out, Fold it up, Fly it fast..Thorp T-18"
"Engineering made it fast, the people made it fun"
"Thorp T-18...Faster than a stripped assed ape
"Thorpies Do It Faster"
"Plans Built Is Man's Built"
"First All-Metal Homebuilt, First Homebuilt To Fly Around The World"
"Corners Are Beautiful"
"T18 - Ahead Of It's Time"
"A Pile Of Metal + A Set Of Plans = One Thorp T18"
"A Better Airplane From A Better Time"
"T18's Aren't Touchy, They Require Talent"
"Dare To Be Different"
"Good Airplane, Good People"
"The Retro Experience"
"I Went To A Thorp Lunch And All I Got Was This T-Shirt"

My preference, probably not the same as others, would be to leave off a date and particularly the "Airventure 2012" Many of my shirts last quite a few years, and I hate to have dates on them. But if you must, I probably will buy one anyway......

Dave,
I'm certainly open for suggestions, but these are our annual Airventure tshirts ... I can have some generic thorp shirts made up but these were intended to help identify us at the show ... Much like the old feathers did.

Lee,

Here's one from the Harley boys.

Thorp T-18

If I have to explain, you wouldn't understand.

I sure would like a TAC Logo patch to sew on my EAA 326 jacket.

Guys,

Maybe there would be some value in keeping the message the same as it was last year? Consistency/ longevity like the the planes have proven.

Just a thought.
