I am preparing to start fab on T18 Fuel Tank Supports and found the attached diagram with a mod for pedal interference in the newsletter archive. Before getting too far into the fab thought I should ask if a consensus was developed on how to deal with the interference? I am using A-528R as my reference.

I did not find that I needed to make the mod. I also have the removable floor, so checking the fit and later modifications would be easier.

I expect the removable floor has many benefits. I will put on my list. Since you didn't need the mod, is the interference more of a potential mechanical tolerance build up or is it a shoe size issue?

Thanks
Tom

I think it assumes a fully compressed master cylinder, something that shouldn't happen. The length of your rudder cables can influence rudder pedal travel.

For whatever its worth, neither my flying plane nor my project have the rudder pedal/tank support interference issue.
