Well...we had 9-10 T-18's this year down from out usual 10-15 . Mostly due to WX delays/cancellations and the Presidential TFR's around El Centro and Vegas . WX at Sedona was better than average with calmer winds . Evening chow was as good as always with lots of lies spread during the nightly feast . So what did we learn from this years Fly In ? Review and up grade your pack up kit or fly away kit . Make sure you have a complete socket set (please no Cresent wrenches !) A good set of wrenches is also a good idea . How about a spare tire tube ? We had one flat and no where to get a spare tube , but one of our members carries one with him in his fly away kit ! Takes up very little space . If you care to see where I carry mine I'll be happy to show ya . All in all it was a great Fly In and everyone made it home safely !

Thanks once again Rich and Sil for organizing this fly in. Despite the Wx caused less than normal turnout, there was lots of flying done. It was great to see some new faces there who will have their new Thorps up and flying very soon. Cubes/Thorp Central is bringing in some great additions to the Thorp family, including Heat (Paul) and Scooter(Scott) who did some formation work in Cubes' and my T-18s for the first time. Apparently a T-18 does not fly like an F-15.....go figger!?....Thanks to Tony and Rich and all the others who jumped on my flat tire issue. I could not have picked a better place to have a flat. 4 of our national treasures, Elaine and Howard Ginn, as well as Connie and Ray Harrison all made it driving up from Montezuma Airpark.

It was great to see everyone and meet some great new people. Darc and I always look forward to this event, and it just never disappoints.

Great time spent in great (local) weather with great people. Enjoyed seeing old friends and making new ones. Can't wait for the next one!

And here are some additional pics.
