As most of you know, our long-time host and chef, Bill Williams went West last November. He was the spark plug and fuel for our T-18 activities here at Sun 'n Fun. A group of us, under the influence of oysters and strong drink, have decided to see if we can keep the spirit alive and continue with the Low Country Boil Tradition. Based on response to this post, we will proceed with the planning if warranted. Let me know your thoughts.

Thorp and friends low country boil is a go. We may even add an oyster roast, if you folks are up for it. We have the same tent by the Lakeland Aera Club for Friday the 5th. Social hour at five with dinner at 6.

Some updated notes on Sun 'n Fun. The Thorp Gathering will feature a social hour followed by a low country boil on Friday, April 5th starting at PM. The location has changed a bit as the tent is now closer to the museum restoration center and next to the first aid station. Hum, might be a message here. All Homebuilt parking will be consolidated near the former Homebuit Camping area. The Seabirds are sandwiched in between. This move is part of a long range plan to get access to the show planes all day long. You will be able to sit by your plane and watch the airshow or even take an afternoon nap. As the Seaplanes are currently in the middle of the new homebuilt area, and I am the Seaplane Co-chairman, all homebuilders are invited to use the seaplane facilities to hang out. Hang with us through the transition and you see some great improvements for fly-in attendees.

+1 and I will be there with bells on. I'm happy to be your sous-chef w the boil operation if needed. We're arriving Thursday, leaving Saturday. We changed it up a bit this year to spend some more time with the family in Clearwater.

Hi Bob: Just to pipe in: my girl friend Heidi Mogg has stepped up to the plate to take over as Chairperson for HBC this year.
We fly in to Tampa tomorrow.
Have to look you up as Seaplanes are closer this year.
All are welcome to drop in to HBC to the big white tent.
Will try and drop into the Thorp get together
Cheers.

Due to circumstances beyond our control, the shrimp boil (dinner) portion of our get together is cancelled. We will still meet for a Social Hour at 5:00 PM. Depending on the crowd size, will work out a plan for eating. If you have any questions, call me at the number below.

Thanks for your understanding.

I am planning on flying in on Friday morning.

Who is on site at LAL already and how can I find you to say hello?

I will be heading back home after the airshow, so I'm not sure where I'll end up parking.
