Thanks Jim, it looks like 12 or 13 just ahead of rudder leading edge n if it made a nice difference for u I'll give it a try l know u also have an 0-290 as do I , and I saw your operating hand book n it's right on across the board with my performance.

Lance,

I have an IO-320-D1A with C/S prop in my plane. The VG's are made by a company called Stolspeed.

http://stolspeed.com

I also have them on the outboard wing sections. It really tamed the stall and it mushes in the stall much like a Stinson now. I didn't notice and drop in speed.

Regards,

Jim

Jim, guess I mixed u up with someone else but that is a nice combo wish I had it. Next time your out at the hanger maybe u could take take a couple of close up of your install, I have some availability for VGs
And would like to try and get a little more authority, right now I limit my crosswind component to 15 knots.

Lance

Thanks Jim, also your ship looks great. I'm going to try the VG on my tail.

You can buy a bag of Vortex generators on eBay for $60. they're listed under Vortex generators experimental aircraft or I've made them before out of a plastic suspended ceiling 'T' from building supply store. $5
