I am thinking of buying a T18 in Australia with a folding S18 wing that is badly damaged. Does anyone have a set of drawings for this wing that I can purchase to help in the reconstruction process.

I can run to the airport and measure it myself, but -- with all the knowledge out there -- does someone have the span of the airplane with the wing folded? I presume the T-18C would be a couple inches less than the S-18 due to the fuselage width.

I don't know the measurement, Jack, but it's the same wide-body or not. It's the wing center section that's the widest point (actually, the thickness of the outer panels is added to that).

I looked at the drawing I have, & it shows the folded clearance point at BL 48.0, so it's right at 8 feet.

Thanks, John. I keep getting asked and I thought that the info was somewhere here in the web site -- but if it is, I can't find it. So the next time someone asks I can tell him I have an 8' span with the folded wing. Plus the wing thickness as it sits alongside of things.

Just to clarify, Jack - it's 8' including the thickness of the folded wings.

BTW, for everyone else, the business is coming on line now. Some parts may take longer than others, but you should see things improve quickly.
