I am a fairly new owner of a T-18 that was completed in 1981. The aileron trim tab is one that is on the left aileron and has to be bent to be adjusted. If I get it trimmed well for just myself, 175 lbs., in the left seat then it will have a relatively strong tendency to roll right when I have a passenger. Any suggestions? I certainly do not want to bend that trim tab back and forth depending upon whether or not I have a passenger.

Install a RAC servo in the left aileron for trim . Plently of info on the install in the NL'S .

You should have a knob on the tunnel in between the seats that may jab your hip. Set the aileron tab to be balanced with two aboard. Then use that knob to deploy the left flap to balance the airplane with just you aboard. Keep in mind, trim is only good for one gross weight and one airspeed .
