Guys,
I just received my EAA "Member Handbook" when I (reluctantly) renewed my membership at OSH last month. I was pleasantly surprised to see an aircraft near and dear to the hearts of the TAC gracing the cover! Lee's/future Homey's T-18.
Awesome!

That is way cool - many kudos to Lee for his tireless promotion of the T-18.

Now that looks like a speedster and it even has a "THORP" cowl!

That plane is also in the 2013 EAA calendar. A nice recognition for the breed and it's owner who tirelessly promotes it. Or does it have something to do with the guy in the right seat?

I think it may be the guy in the right seat ... seems to me your airplane made it into a few EAA publications too.

Well I offically became a one Thorp man today (project "nearly" complete) ... After a quick and completely unessessary checkout Dave Holmgren and N589LW departed from Houston headed out to SLC.

Back to the garage ... I have a plane to build!

Congrats Lee,
I know Homey will give your Thorp a good home. I have 2nd (or is it 3rd) right of refusal!

Well, made it through the smoky (forest fires- the western states are on fire this summer) skies to U42, got the plane bedded down with Fraser's beauty unscathed, although I'm really surprised he hasn't crowed about my bounce and go around...
Just finished a visit to LAL and had the chance to pick Bob Highley's brain and fly with him in N711SH. Some day maybe I'll be able to fly like that. I'm glad to be part of the community, humbled to have such a cool plane...
