Is anyone flying with a Lightspeed Tango Headset??? I am thinking about buying a set and am wondering what others think. There is not much room in my Thorp cockpit and getting rid of the headset wires would sure make it easer to get in or out. Any advice???

Thanks Phil

I moved my headset jacks to the turtle deck so the cord is behind my left shoulder, right shoulder for the passenger. Headsets go on the turtle deck when egressing the aircraft, cords are out of the way.

I have lightspeed zulus.

Moving the receptacle's to the turtle deck was a good idea, I fly with the Lightspeed Zulu's also, but getting rid of the cord I thought might have one less thing in the way getting in or out - to much of me in the small cockpit.

Received the Lightspeed Tango headset today. Was able to pair it with my phone very quickly. It fit well, and appears the will accomplish the task of keeping the headset cord out of the way. Hope to fly with it soon and will report on how it works. I was able to find an outlet for these at approximately $600.00, they look to be factory fresh.

Thanks Phil

I have been flying with the tango headset in my twin, it has all of the quirk's that are on the web. I do like not having to deal with the cord, and in the Thorp I think this will be a big plus. Glad I didn't have pay the advertised price, but for the intended use I think these will work out fine.
