Well there's our 10th! I am checking with a local fabricator to get pricing and availability for the rear attach point fitting.
I'll keep you updated on the progress, but the tailsprings were promised for the end of March.

Blue skies,

Terry

To all 11 that have expressed interest in the Tailspring. I have a local source that has commited to make the tail attach fittings that we will need. He has accepted the time frame and will have them done in order to ship with the tail springs. I should have a cost shortly.

A couple have asked..the tail mount will only have the hold drilled for the tail spring. You will have to determine hole placement for your individual bolster.

Hey, Would somebody have a front 45 degree photo of the aft mount for the Trusty tail spring. If you had an aft 45 degree that would be good too. The fabricator has some questions and a photo is worth a .....you get the idea.

Wait until Friday and take a pic for yourself of my airplane. I'm not there right now or I would.

I have a couple shots of different TW's. One is a side view here:

I got an email today to let me know that the tail springs are in production, He also mentioned that he went with a production run of 16. We have 12 spoken for. If there is anybody else interested - There is some available. I'm still hoping to have the springs in my hands before the end of March. I'll keep you posted..

Terry,
I'd like a spring if you have any left.
Thanks,
Jon

Hopefully you can get the spring match holed drilled to your bolster ! The spring I got from Tom Hunter required no adjustment to fit as I sent him my bolster to match drill . ;) Took less than an hour to fit the spring and AP tail wheel . BOOM !

I'm very excited to get beyond the Maule tailwheel.
When this tailspring run came up, I jumped in, because I missed out on Tom Hunter's last unit.
I'm wondering if any of the aftermarket VAN's compatible tailwheel fork assy's will fit? Specifically the JDair unit with the sealed lower bearing is looking like a winner?

Great tailwheel, check the angle of the tailwheel to spring mounting, I think it is not compatable with the Thorp
