Dick: Go to Thorplist Archives, hit search, type in canopy rollers. About 4 pages of canopy items...including rollers. If I did not already have the K3L3 roller bearings, I would have looked into a double wide roller bearing to distribute the weight of the canopy on top of the rail a little better. The K3L3 bearings are $40.00 each from Spruce. [:0]

E-Bay has K3L3 bearings "new in package", a wee bit old as the package sez 1959. They show then in the package and may be a good deal @ $9.00 each and free shipping. Last time I checked, Spruce wanted $40.00 each for the little buggers. Item # 120769010154 or type in Fafnir K3L3 bearing. I think there is a way to shoot new grease into them ? [:p]

My experience with hard steel bearings rubbing against the softer stainless wears the tracks.....Buy shower door rollers ($1.89 for 2) and replace them occasionally.
If it does'nt say Lycoming on the valve cover it's not an aircraft engine.........

Eklund Engineering has canopy roller stock from John Thorp's inventory. We have priced the eight(8) at $80 with free shipping.

Another alternative is sliding shower door rollers if they have metal bearings.
