Well, I have gotten a few phone calls on this already so here goes: The annual KVIS Thorp gathering will be held this year on Sept 21st and 22nd. Early arrivals will be met at the airport on Friday as usual, Anyone needing info on the Comfort Inn Suites or the Holiday INN just let me know. For those who have not made the event in the past these 2Motels are right across the street from the airport. The Gathering will be at the EAA park on the airport grounds, and we will shuttle Folks in Richards Favorite Shuttle Van...........Home Phone is 559-686-4588.....Cell 559-805-8122. Dan

Dan: Count me and John Kerr flying up in my AC on Friday . Leaving on Sunday morning. I have the KVIS FBO gate code (#4268) . The gate is over by the Terminal , by the Comfort Inn . My wife's company fly their King Air and Citation in and out of KVIS . I you need access to the ramp just walk over and type in the code . No card needed . BOOM ! It is a bit of a walk , but it is free ! As the date gets closer I will verify the current code .

Will check as we get closer. I was hoping for something earlier in the month. That is my 25th anniversary. We have a trip booked starting that Sunday. Prolly count me out.

Still on the road home from OSH, should give me enough time to get the aircraft back together. Now if the weather will hold :)

Dan: Early date is OK with me . In fact any date is OK . Some folks may want Cubes there to do Acro instruction ? Not trying to put words in Cubes mouth . Cubes would add to the OSH discussion , along with me , Fraser and Homey . A lot of info to put out regarding OSH...BOOM !

A Discussion on OSH would be great! You do these forums Very well Rich, your last Forum on Servival was very good. Also If someone would give a talk on the 50 yrs of Thorp that would be a good topic being the 50th and all............just an Idea......Dan

I could give a short discussion on OSH . Arrival and departure procedures into the caldron . Cubes might give a quick brief on the outstanding T-18 form flight that he engineered and occurred at the big dance . My use of oxygen brief is still on . The earlier date works (13-14-15th) for me if it works for Tahoe Joe !

Don't jump through hoops for me. My Checkride is that month as well and is not scheduled yet. I asked for the first week, but that may not happen. I should know soon.
