I propose a "practice" 50th Anniversary for the T-18 design at Sun 'n Fun 2013. I could work with the powers that be here in Lakeland to get improved parking and maybe some Showcase time. Let me know what y'all think about that.

I'm gonna do whatever I can to get to OSH next year. Wouldn't want to miss it. LAL is another question. I've been to a lot more Sun-n-Funs and love it, but it's a pretty long haul from SLC... fwiw :)

I think we should all get drunk and pick a fight with the Tail wind guys.

I've never been so I have no idea what to expect but I plan to go and am up for almost anything, but picking a fight with the RV bunch.

I'm planning for the week and will be looking for a home to stay at.

Lou and Richard,

I think a better plan would be to get the Tailwind, and RV guys drunk and let them fight amongst themselves.

Jim :-))

I like your style RB! ... no fighting amongst homebuilders!

BTW .. keep in mind folks this is the Sun n Fun thread ... I suspect a few of you are refering to OSH. I doiubt there will be much Tailwind precence at Sun n Fun.

I spoke to Lites Leehouts, after a couple of vigorous formation flights (T-18 on Stearman), about the practice 50th T-18 Anniversary at Sun 'n Fun. As many of you may know, Lites is the President of S'nF. He aksed what we wanted to do and how he could help accomplish our mission. I told him I would be back to him after consolidating our plan. So...give me your input and we will try to make it happen.

Outstanding Bob! Thank you!

I have a list of suggestions for Osh most of which may not apply to snf. I'll post it here in the next day or two.

At the very least it would be nice to have a thorp in the showcase one day. I'm working on getting some info packs made up, tshirts etc.

I have flown 118GG down to KPMP again this year. I will be at Sun n Fun 2013 and plan to attend the 1st "When Pigs Fly South BBQ" at Lakeland on Saturday, Dec. 1st. Hope to see some other Thorp guys there.

I'm a huge Sun n Fun fan. It's a great time, and USUALLY, the weather is really good that time of year. JINX! Hoping to make it there and plan (yeah, 'plan'... that word and me, we have a history) to have my FAST wingman card by then. It IS a long way from SLC, but economy cruise on a Thorp is pretty impressive... so...

I'll put that week in my vacation bids after OSH week.

The last time I took the "better half" aka the wife to Sun n Fun we got caught by a tornado at Sun n Fun. I sould note that it's the only time I've been. :)
