If you are in search of a nice ‘on gear’ project. Check out the one on barnstormers. I spoke to Joe Malsack- the current owner. He bought it at an auction in western Wisconsin the end of last year. The owner/ builder had passed and the kids gave the project to an auctioneer. From the photos it’s a complete early T. He has a box of plans which are labeled #137.
Fuselage is done, it’s on the gear with the inside in zinc chromate. What caught my eye was the aluminum angles riveted in place to attach interior panels. 218TH had that. Nice feature.
Joe says the airplane used to live in Minnesota. Joe states and from the photos, I agree that the workmanship on the fuselage is very good.
As far as what’s not there....Fiberglass wingtips, Canopy ( has a windshield) has a lower rattray cowl, no upper.
The outer wing panels are not shown in photos, but are included. Also shown in the pictures is a dynafocal engine mount.
The ad shows an ask price of 15 K, but said given the economy - he’s open to offers.
It’s in Wisconsin, north west of Oshkosh.

FYI- there’s still more than 50% Left to do, so you can be the builder of record on this airplane.

Hope it finds a good home.

Blue skies,
Terry
