N872DD for sale. I've reached a point where I need more of a family airplane, so I told my much better half that if I was going to sell my fun sports car T-18 to get a bigger airplane, it had to be something cool. To me it doesn't get much cooler than a C-195, so I picked up N195DY a couple of weeks ago. You can see the add for N872DD in Barnstomer. Thorp T-18 wide body with folding wings. Lycoming IO-360/200 HP with Hartzell constant speed prop. 505 Hrs airframe & engine. Restored in 2013. Skytec starter, new alternator, new engine mounts, & new injector lines in 2015. Dynon D10a. KX 155 with KI 209 indicator with glideslope. KLX 135 Comm/GPS, GTX 320 encoder, & PMA audio panel. Bulkhead aft of seats moved aft 2". I'm 235 lbs and 6'3" and I have almost too much room. 155 Kts indicated at 75% power. 15 gal aux tanks in each wing. Runs and flies great. Dennis Downing, Winter Haven, FL. HM: 863-875-4547.
