I figured I would give this one last gasp.....anyone have an elevator push pull tube that they want to sell? Otherwise I'll just bite the bullet and buy a tube from ACS and cut down the end bits that I bought from Cubes to fit the ACS tube. For anyone interested, the issue is the wall thickness of the tube. Plans call out one thickness wall tube and ACS only sells another wall thickness, therefore the standard Thorp end fittings wont fit the ACS tube.

Just so yall know, Cubes has been working hard to source the appropriate size tube material.

If I understand the situation correctly, all you need is a little over 10 feet of 2x.049 2024T3 (T4 if looking at T-18 drawings). Places like onlinemetals.com stock what you need. The S-18 drawing shows 6061T6 of the same dimension as an alternate. Aircraft Spruce sells the 6061 if you wanted to stay with aviation suppliers.

You are right, most all the online places sell 6061 tube but not 2024 tube. I was unaware the S18 plans called out 6061 as an alternate. That is great info. Thank you!
