Hey guys,

I've been adding a few pictures to my album in the gallery labeled "project photos". If anything seems "questionable", please ask. I'd sure like this thing to be safe, and I appreciate helpful criticism. I'm also trying to include things I haven't seen in other albums too - things until recently I wondered about myself. BTW, hope you all have a great Thanksgiving!

Les Krumel,
Albuquerque

I saw some pictures where it looked like you flow formed some ribs, maybe for the flaps. Can you tell me how that worked out? Did you experince any cracking during the process?

Nice work, Les... love your solutions for most things. You have mastered the art of simplication. The highlights today, for me, are your fuel shut-off valve handle and your gear leg fairing brackets. Can't wait to peruse more closely when I get on my home computer tonight.

Thx!

Les,
I like your center console with engine controls.

Where did you get the design for your home made intercomm/audio panel?
What did you get the coilled wire in your heat muff?

Great workmanship, Les! I've admired your work from afar since the first time you posted pictures. It's a beautiful airplane!

Thanks for the remarks guys.

It's because everyone's contributed to the forum I've got this far. So thanks again. Hope I can contribute a little too. Although I'm kinda handy, I never built an airplane before. 'Have been learning all along as I go. It's great to have an experimental category and it's been really fun - the ultimate project!

To answer some questions:
Ribs for flaps are formed just the same as wing ribs using method found in early newsletter. sorry, no simple stamping die.
Coiled wire for heat muff is from a MIG welder - ran it slowly over a rod on the lathe to create the coils. Welded small nuts to the tail pipes for connections.
Intercom with VOX and music input is an embellishment from something I found on the web: http://www.ase.uc.edu/~munday/intercom/
