I couldn't resist getting the cowl parts out to see how they fit. I like seeing progress. |

Awesome work! It is very hard to tell by the photos, but does the plenum allow for any air to get back to the magnetos and accessory case? Can the mags get too hot where maybe a blast tube of cool air on them would be a good idea? Just my novice thinking here. |

It is never a bad idea to keep the mags as cool as you can. I have had cold air blast tubes from the rear baffle down to each mag as well as to the gascolarer for many years. Steve Hawley |

Me too use blast tubes with my enclosed plenum for the mags and fuel pump . RB |

Steve, can you supply a picture sometime on how you routed your blast tube down to your fuel pump? I'd like to see where on the plenum you attached the tube and what diameter tube you used. In my case, I'd like to put some cool air on the gascolator. I don't have a fuel pump on my O-290. Thanks! |

Got my blast tubes from Van's aircraft . 5/8" dia. Easy to attach to the back of the plenum . Ran one to each mag and one to my mech. fuel pump . If you go the Vans site it shows a diagram on how to attach the tube . RB |
