Looking good Terry. Being an airline pilot, I thought you would have paid a little extra for the color screen on the GRT tho!! :)

Hey Terry, I see tango whiskey sold on barnstormers, does this mean you're going to get busy working on tango Hotel? Keep us posted, really enjoying your build

To answer John's question. YES, the day after I got back from delivering WT....TH came down from the attic and work has begun.

Earlier this week it was 'see how stuff fits' time. I had to place the panel and side interior panels in order to determine where I will need to run my Throttle, Mixture, and Prop cables. It will soon be time to make holes in the firewall.
Grand Rapids tell me as of this morning that my Sport EX 7 will arrive by next week. That's also my autopilot servos as well.

Today I installed the vertical fin and rudder to check the fit. Temperature allowing, I'll start work on the fiberglass fairing for the fuselage/vertical fin. With any luck, I can fit the inner and outer wing panels this weekend.

It seemed like the appropriate time- yesterday brought the registration from the FAA that tells me that my collection of parts is now official and one step closer to completion

Hey Terry,

That's great! Just another important step. I just sent in the application for my new project... it's cheaper to get that done than to keep spending money each year to reserve my N number!

I took advice from Dick Wolf and ordered a dorsal fin cover from Cubes. Here is a photo of the dorsal fin fit and temporarily attached. The holes are drilled and countersunk to accept 6/32 screws. I'll install floating nut plates below the top skin to hold the part in place.

Yesterday was big. I had another set of hands and was able to put the center section in place as well as the outer wing panels. All fit well.

Rich,
The only time you can have too much gas is when the "bastard" is on fire. O:-) (attribute to some British dude)

Today I put the finishing touches on the stick covers. Black suede shift covers from Ebay. I did have to make the mounting bracket and make sure they clear the walking beam.
