Hi guys,
I'm installing electroair electronic ignition. I was supposed to remove the gear from my bendix magneto and put it on the shaft of the electro air timing device that goes in the mag hole. Well, my magneto has a straight shaft---rare I am hearing-- and I need the gear from a common tapered shaft magneto....'hoping there is a trashed magneto out there for parts.

I also need shorter studs to attach the thing....my magneto had a spacer so the studs went through 1 1/4" of housing....the electoair device is only 1/4" or less.

Thanks!

Uh, well I am hearing the gear doesn't come with the magneto....I still need the gear to fit a tapered shaft magneto if anyone knows where I may find one....and studs for the magneto, shorter ones, for without the impulse coupler.

thanks!

Do you have a part number ?

1. Ebay might have one ? :P I just looked at Ebay and they had several gears for Bendix mags .
2. With all the outfits that rebuild/overhaul mags across the country you would think they would have a box of them taking up space ? ???

Curtiss, I mailed the gear and two studs today from the PO I Orangeburg, SC.
I'm sure they will be what you are looking for. Glad to help.
