I've passed 2 hurdles. The wife said "yes" and the insurance company will not require my first born child. A moderate amount of money, 3 hrs in a Thorp with an instructor and 2 more hours solo before any passengers will satisfy them. (A new garden shed will make the wife happy ..
)I have 2 airplanes .. fun to fly .. but slow, a J-3 and a Great Lakes. And I may have to sell one of those, unless I can figure a way to make all three fit in my hangar.
I have yet to get a flight in a Thorp but there is one about a 30 minute flight away.. or a 45 minute drive. (That one, N149RH, is simply stunning!) I think I need to do that next.
