Now that the engine parts are coming together (I received my overhauled cylinders from Hyfast Aerospace, Case and Crank should be done this week) I am diving deep into my standard T-18 airframe.

I have been frustrated by the numbering system of John Thorp's plans, and I couldn't find anything readable in the newsletters, so I put together a spreadsheet which I hope matches sub-assemblies to drawings. Attached is the PDF.

Please feel free to correct any errors.

Thank you! I've printed out a copy and put it in the 'plans box'.
One of our illustrious builders offered that he had created a builders manual from the process of building his own ship.
He was at the Sedona Fly-in, 2016. I think he offered to share it on CD format. In all the social atmosphere, I forgot to exchange contact info and take him up on his offer.
Now I could use the help...(Bob Highley perhaps?)
I've accumulated the wing parts to replace to left outer wing I bent in 2016, but I don't really understand the Thorp Matched Hole concept. I built an RV-8, so I have built a wing jig with pillars to support the spars while I fit the skin...

Very nice indeed. Coming from an airframe where the drawings were grouped and numbered by system, the Thorp drawings have shown me just how spoiled I was to not need an index to find anything.

Scott,

Wish had made Sedona. I could use a good index as well.

Scott,
I think it might have been Les Krumel but I could be mistaken. :D

Nice drawing list. As for a builder's manual, I haven't got such an animal except the builder's log that every experimental airplane should have. Maybe someone else has something. I did make a video from a lot of the photos I took and gotta share it again if you haven't seen it - have to make the most of it for the work involved. Now that the plane is finished, all I have for the memories of that fun project are the pictures. Of course the flying is good too!

Don't forget sound and full screen... Les K.
