Where to get them and where exactly do they go on the inner wing? Thanks, Chris Cox |

New to the forum. Looking at purchasing a T18 and doing research on the stall strip. How do I find newsletter 82? Thanks in advance |

Good question. They should be on the main website: http://thorp18.com/index.php?option=com ... Itemid=159 but they didn't come up. They were on the old forum with all of them scanned into 2 files but I can't seem to find the old forum anymore either.

Thank you very much. Very interesting and I'm not sure what the negative could possibly be, or am I missing something. They sound very straight forward to install. I assume these are made from solid stock and machined? Or could they be as simple as 3/8" x 3/8" aluminum angle for the material, granted the angle material would create a very small air gap between the leading edge, but is that even an issue? It seems they would mount pretty tight. |

There is a sketch on the next page(5) of the news letter that implies solid stock by giving a 1/2" radius to match the leading edge. |

Guys, I made mine from 3/8" aluminum angle. I ground the edges so that there was virtually a sharp edge where they touched the leading edge. I stuck them on with a silicone adhesive. It was black and so is my plane so there was no appearance issues. I now have a stick shake just before the stall. Regards, Jim |
