Post subject:  Fuel Tank Vent

I never worried about the fuel syphoning out as it couldn't be more than a tube full but I wonder if the ram air could hold it up in the tube long enough to affect the flow to the carburetor until airspeed ram would blow it back into the tank.
While flying my time off, I don't remember how many times the engine would act up when the wheels broke ground and the accelerator pump got a workout but the only time the engine really quit was on downwind and I came up short of the crosswind runway.
