That was my work schedule . If I was tired and having problems with a certain assembly , I put it aside and worked on another piece of the AC that did not require as much brain power ! In fact there were times I just walked away for a few days and just watched Chargers Football ! :P

Hang in there Philip, there is a wealth of info on this Forum. There is a bit of banter from time to time but all in fun and at the end of the day most generally all will cause a good laugh. Don't hesitate to ask those questions, we want you to be successful at completing your project the words to explain how rewarding it is haven't been created yet so I won't try. Keep moving on it, you will do well....Dan

The value of all the Vans or Midget Mustang and Thorp is the airframe building construction! Take your time and if you have a doubt leave the parts and work on another piece on your plane. I have always 3 different schedule on my T-18. If I work and I don't find the information I need, I step to the next assembly on my work bench so I never stuck in place.
Since my first post I put almost 2000$ on the table and around 220 hours on the Hobbs. :-\

Thanks... the last few days i feel like i bought an albatross....

That's me Philip, I hit the ground running at 3:05 and put the coffee on, I return home at 4:00 in the afternoon 5 days a week, this is not a complaint but just the way things are for now and have been for bout 35 years. Not to worry, I know I get Cranky, usually just before I pass out in my chair in the evening. I just had a couple days off to Host the KVIS Gathering and I really needed the time with my buddies and some good food, a gathering or a flyin would really help you out and get you rolling. The Thorp folks are the best, they will help you get going and stay on it. That Albatross will Morph into a Tiger right before your eyes............Dan

You can do like I do - go to all the trouble of patching the piece , look at it for a few weeks & then throw it away & make a new one!

When I am done rebuilding I am going to weigh the scrap bin and see which weighs more, the plane or the scrap, lol. Just take it I piece at a time and the project doesn't seem so daunting. Like Dan said it will morph into a tiger!
