I looked at a t18 for sale today with 1100 tt, should I be concerned about oil canning at last rib of inboard wing panel, also a few smoking rivets at wing skin and spar.

Smoking rivets in the main spar are common. A mod is two rows of rivets, but does not totally eliminate the smoking rivet problem. I've seen oil canning of the skin on the first rib of the out board wing, but the last rib of the outboard would indicate that the 3/4" spar stiffeners have not been installed. Over "G'd" ???

So I finished (mostly) my left wing today. Great day cuz I also took the Patriotic Tigress over 1,000 hours today! Yes, I was up-side-down when the tach clicked over. Neat.
