For the fiberglas cowling make from carbon fibre I would guess it would be 3 to 4 times what a glass and poly resin would cost |

Just looked at the supplier I use and carbon is 2.5 times the cost of e glass but with carbon for the same strength you need less fabric thus less resin so the cost will be less than 2.5 times, my scwag. That said it might not be strength you need to design for but stiffness or puncture resistance, your mileage may vary.
