Hi all,

Hopefully there are some T18C builders out there that can help me with some questions. I have built T18 fuselage and S18 wing currently being assembled. The wing will not fold, I’m fixing it.

1. How did you move your main spar wing-fuselage attachment brackets, or did you make wider ones? If manufactured, are there any drawings out there to buy so we can manufacture here in AUS. I think Cubes has them but delivery time may be against us if he even has any atm. Does anyone have precise spacing between these two brackets? My T18 plans from the previous owner have not arrived. I have received advice to take measurements from fuselage.

2. What did you do about rear spar attachment to the fuselage given the S18 rear spars will be too short. Manufacture new ones? Any data out there on that?

3. Given, my wing will not fold, is it necessary to use the split aileron bell crank. Are there other options Eg T18 bell crank? Thought it might reduce backlash however I don’t want to reinvent or do anything dubious from an engineering pin t of view so an acceptable but conservative approach is preferred otherwise we’ll use the existing set up.

Thanks in advance. Archie.
