New to posting on the Thorp forum. Own a T-18 and relocated to Nevada a few years ago. I had the pleasure to meet a nice young fellow in North Las Vegas that had parts and a great amount of knowledge about the T-18 (Cubes) right here in my own back yard. Now that I am retired, I hope to fly the T-18 for as long as I am able and to meet fellow T-18 owners.

I should have given a little history in my first post so I will do it now. I started building the Thorp when I was 20 years old (1974) in Torrance, CA. I learned a lot from guys like Ken Knowles, Bill Warwick and others at the Torrance Airport. The first flight was done at Chino Airport by Bill Warwick in 1981. As soon as I retired from Boeing in 2013, my wife and I moved from Torrance, CA to Henderson, NV. My T-18 has an O-360 with a Hartzell Constant speed prop. Just upgraded the panel (3rd time) to include a Dynon Skview. The plane has always been a joy to fly. I have noticed that the plane had more room when I was younger. It will be nice to meet some of you someday in the future.

Hi Randy - that "nice young man" to which you referred (Cubes) as well as a few other nice young men (and Rich Brazell) will be in Sedona (check out the thread below) for some down home kinship, as well as some flying fun. I hope you can join us there. It's not a long flight from Sin City.

About time you came up for air Randy! Come on out and enjoy the company of some fellow Thorpers. We would love to hear some stories from your past!

Thanks for the invite to Sedona. I am always looking for an excuse to fly somewhere, unfortunately I will be in St Louis that weekend and letting SWA do the flying.
