Nine Thorp's enjoying the beautiful countryside of AZ. Pretty good Mexican chow last night. Lots of laughs.
We miss two prominent Sedona flyers. Get better quick RB and Paul.

Not much flying today. Was calm this am but has built now to gusts over 30 it’s. Only fliers today have been Cubes, Bernie, and Tony Ginn.
Okay, Les Krumel and Cubes went flying before the winds came up as well.

A very wonderful bunch at Sedona, all due to the fine efforts of Rich and the Ginns. Enjoyed every moment with all of you. Home safely now after a smooth ride, 13 kt tailwind, and only 4 kt wind for landing. Les & Linda

The Northwet contingent made it home safely in a single day. Flying thru rain & snow, dodging weather cells, bucking headwinds.
3 Thorps (and a brand X while N18TE is finished).
All flew thru Nevada and Eastern Oregon to enter Washington near The Dalles KDLS.
Glad to hear RB is on the mend.

Thanks for all the cards and letters ! I am slowly returning to my same old grumpy self . After 4 days in the ICU I was found to have a C. Difficile infection . Not going to bore you with all the cheap medical terms (you can look it up on Goggle) , but to put the Gene back in the bottle I take antibiotics 4xs a days for 2 weeks . To this point I has passed enough gas to fill the Von Hindenburg !! ??? Nuff said on that .

Glad to hear everyone have a productive Sedona despite the winds .

2018 KSEZ Re-cap: Another terrific Sedona Fly-In. Terrific people and great flying tales. Mother Nature did turn the fan on “HIGH”. That detracted from the air-time on Saturday but didn’t quench the spirits. Folks did a lot of sight-seeing, hiking and enjoying stories at the Wine Bar and the Oak Creek Brewery.

Hosts:
Elaine & Howard Ginn AZ Hosts Extraordinaire. Glad you all got to enjoy the hospitality flowing from the Pineapple Express. I’m afraid it’s days are numbered and will most-likely be sold before too long.
Rich & Sil Brazell CA Teed things up nicely! Sadly, they were only there in spirit.
Happy Customers included:
Fraser & Darcy McPhee UT
Jim “Cubes” & Marykay Grahn NV
Bruce & Diane Finney WA
Les & Linda Krumel NM
Curtis Campi & Wendy NV
Scott & Marilyn Emery WA
Chuck Flowers WA
Gary Jacobsen WA
Bernie Fried TX
Tony Ginn CA
Randall McGavock Drive-In. T-18 Owner/Camp Verde AZ
Jeff & Annette Gilbert New T-18 Owners/Ryan Field, Tucson AZ.

Side Note: CONGRATS to our good friend, John Evens/CO, for doing the first flight of his Kitfox airplane on Friday. Looks great, John. We are sure it’s a Masterpiece like your T-18 is!!

Out of Sedona had 187Kts on the ground speed. Then over the grand canyon had 185knt vertical velocity bumps - got rocked good for about 5 minutes, then through the boundary and 165 knots home to Salt Lake - as usual, great fun with great folks. Darc and I wouldn't miss this for anything. Hey Bernie - I hear on the home journey you met a compadre in Pecos on his way to the Bahamas - an omen perhaps...???...:)

After seeing all of those great pictures of friends and beautuful Thorps, it must have been a real let-down to see that one of the Kitfox stuck in there! Thank you so much, Tony! We sure missed being there and seeing everyone, and I’m sure all of you know that I’m missing the T-18. The new airplane’s a lot of fun, but my Thorp was my special love (in the airplane world) for 42 years, ever since I started building it in 1975. You all, and the Thorp, will always occupy a special place in my heart.

Aww darn it. Correction to my KSEZ Re-Cap.
QUIZ: He and his wife travel the farthest of anyone each year -- who iz it??
ANSWER: Terry and Lori HAGLE!! Terry is kind of Omni-present. He's over at that T-18, then he's engaged in the group over there -- he's all over the place. Good that they'll be listed in the FLEW IN column next year.

And Jeff and Annette from Tucson drove in this year. I'm sure they'll be in the FLEW IN column in the future.

I apologize for the oversight. TG
