I don't know how well Mac is connected with the group, but he does have a T18 which I believe he built. He flies out of his own 1800 ft. strip in Southern Ontario, not too far East of Detroit.

His latest project is extremely interesting. Check out his page documenting the build of his 70% MK24 Spit. 6000 hours of superb work:
