All,
Richard Eklund just contacted to tell me that shortly after midnight this morning, September 3, Tom Hunter passed away within two hours of heart surgery due to complications. This is very sad news, Tom was active in the Thorp community for many years and he certainly provided me with much help and guidance. He will be sorely missed.

I am FB friends with him. He just posted a message that made him look happy and healthy. Sad news. He lives on in TommyCat.

That is sad. I'm very sorry to hear it. I just had a private message from him about a week ago, saying he was in the USA for a few months, depending on how his surgery at Stanford in Sept. went. He didn't go into any detail about the surgery, but said that hopefully he would be back in Thailand for the new year.

Very sorry to hear of Tom's passing. He was a funny guy and quite the craftsman. He will be missed.

:( When ever I traveled to Ca. for work, I would try to make it up to see and fly with Tom in his local area. His T-18 had a Lyle Trusty Airfoil and was very fast. He would always ask people flying, to a specific airport if they wanted to race. Tom was a great guy and very helpful to me on my project. I will miss him.
