John Kerr flew with me in my AC up to Agua Dulce Airport (L70) today for their once a month $5 BBQ . You can go to the airport web site and see the monthly BBQ schedule . A very nice airport tucked in the hills along the Antelope Valley Freeway (I-14) . A beautiful little FBO with nice shade trees and plenty of tables and umbrellas . Fuel is located right next to the picnic area . You would be hard pressed to find a better BBQ anywhere...1/2 pound burgers or turkey burgers or your choice of a full pound hot dog . Dress them up with chili or with all the traditional fixins . Included is a drink of your choice , bag of chips , potato salad , slaw , fresh fruit salad .
Too bad we don't have a T-18 sponser at Agua Dulce as it would make for a very nice Fly In location ! I've been told the winds can play with you because of its location to the hills , but today the winds were light and no problem .
