Maybe you could have a General Store or such on your site where you advertise swag, like tee shirts, hats, sew on patches, coffee cups etc. with logos and graphics?
Our EAA chapter treasurer is always lugging that stuff to meetings and hawking it when he makes the treasurer's report.
I know it's different here, but when one of us gets in the mood to buy some T-18 swag, it would be 'just a click away'.
Just a thought.

Yeah, Like the Thorp Air Command decal, or the Thorp T-18 masks for painting on the vertical Stab. Logos and Graphics are good.

I just ordered some Thorp T-18 stickers today from Dave Read's daughter, Nikki. Pick your size, pick your color. Done.

Send her a gif or jpeg of what you want and I'd bet she can do it.

Kinser can be in charge of fabricating the T-18 key-chain-beer-openers. Fraser can be the product tester.

I like the general store idea. But someone has to then stock the stuff. Maybe we can do an annual printed t-shirt or embroidered hat. Collect a big order from the gang and make a big run. Just a thought.

Tony;
Today, You don't make internet sales out of 'your' warehouse! These Days your product is shipped direct to you from the manufacturer.
The General Store could have the Product (with pictures) & contact info (web page, phone number etc). Then each creative vendor could have permanent access to us as a willing market.
These could be simple Forum entries under a new "Topic" in the "For Sale" section. Maybe in the "Our Suppliers" or "Classified Ads" or a new group? Call it General Store, or SWAG or "Buy T-18 Stuff". Anything that sounds like a place to get that cool stuff.
The individual threads could be closed to keep them pure, or left open for buyer comments and feedback, as well as seller updates & announcements.
It might help to get more eyes on the rest of the ads too. ;)

Scott,

Good idea and yes I have been working on something along those lines. That being said, the holdup has been along the lines of what Tony pointed out. We have to order hats, t-shirts etc in bulk to keep the prices reasonable. The closest thing we have to a t-shirt supplier, Nikki (David Read's daughter) our "T-shirt" girl takes her orders in bulk as it is too costly and time consuming to waste a stencil on a single shirt. Same with hats. This has a tendency bite the buyer at times though ex: Right now I have around $100 worth of 50th anniversary (all XL) shirts laying around from last year that will most likely go to waste.

The only real solution is to make up some generic Thorp Gear and offer it up on the site that does not expire, which is what I believe you are suggesting. I'll definitely get to something going on that soon as I have things to parts/gear to sell as well (Spinners).

We got stickers.

I asked Mark at Aircraftstickers.com to include the T18 in his product line. He had a selection drawn up in a few hours. Put your orders in!

Stickers look great!!!
On another way I like the patch with the logo ''Thorp Air Command''. (logo in the right up corner)
Perfect to put on a flying suit or a jacket!!!

Keep going :)
