I'm in the process of implementing a "Digests" option on the forum. Many of you have requested a daily summary of topics, private messages etc. rather than having to subscribe to each forum, get granular emails etc. (Much like we had with the old "ThorpList"). With that being said I'm in the process of testing right now, so if you start recieving emails from the forum with the subject "Thorp Air Command - T18.net Daily Digest" that's what's going on. I should have the bugs worked out by end of day. I hope this helps those out those of you who long for the old "list" days. |

Hi Lee, Not complaining just informing you... I subscribed to "all" topics when we first went to this format. It is very hit and miss when I receive an email for a posting. An example. I did not receive an email from your post but I did receive one from Fraser's reply. Seems odd. Right now I am in the habit of checking the forum so it is not a big deal, but, I know I missed lots of posts 6 months to a year ago because I was not in a habit of checking the forum. So far the reviews are positive ... One thing though guys, if you read the digest and want to respond to one of the postings, you'll have to go to the forum, simply responding to the email just sends it to me. |

Thanks Guys! ONE MORE TIME ... YOU CANNOT RESPOND TO THE DIGEST AND THINK IT'S GOING TO MAGICALLY END UP WHERE YOU WANT! Several of you are responding to the digest email, it does not work that way!!!! |

Lee: I reponded by e-mail, as I thought this is what you wanted. For me, I would turn this feature off as I regularly go to this site to review comings and goings. For people who travel and get away and detach from e-mail, (there is a few of us) I can see coming back to 20-30 updates on topics that may or may not be interested in. If the option was there to have it selectable on / off I would be interested, otherwise I would be a -1 for the daily digest. Again great work Lee. |

Looks like you can also set up your preferences to have a weekly or monthly digest sent and change the format. Thanks Lee, it's good to have all the options available, something for everyone. I'll play with the options and give the digest a go. Stuart |
