As a first step towards migrating to the new newsletter format I will be updating the newsletters that are available through the forum. For starters I've used an OCR to make the scanned PDF's searchable.
Put short, if you load the newsletters now from the main page, you can now search the document. This is not unusual but previous to now that was not possible.
They are still not 100% complete. That's on the way.
For those who were not at KY Dam, the new newsletter format is going to be more centered on social events, fly-in reports, happenings in the Thorp community etc. The technically driven Newsletter's are going to become a thing of the past. The existing set of 140+ newsletters has covered every possible subject numerous times. IN the coming months I will be loading the full set of NL's into a document engine that will allow us to search and index the full set for easy online access and search ability.
What I've done here is just the first step.
