Thanks for the update, Dean. I painted my plane in a profession shop and learned to respect the modern paints. As Bill Williams said, they can kill you.

My hat is off to those who can paint - I actually enjoy it, but decided that a pro put out better results than did I, with all the proper equipment and safety, lighting and skill etc with these new paints. These paints intimidated me chemically as well and was afraid I might get dyslexic again.......last week, I became thirsty and walked into a bra for a drink.

Cant wait to see the new kullers Dean.

Yep were still hear, will have to say that Dean is a Rembrandt, his bird is going to look sharp. The booth and the ventilation is workin just fine and the ice tea has been good and cold. We had a few sessions there where the OAT wasn't what we wanted but it is progressing. I'm sure Dean will post some more pics before long. Dan

Ok. Here are a few more pics from the painting progress of N772DM. This 2 week job turned into 2 months, but I think that it has been worth it. I also decided to perform the annual inspection and in the meantime, changed up a few details that always seemed to bother me. It is still not fully completed as there are a few special finishing touches to put on it next weekend. Anyways, my wife is overjoyed that there are no longer airplane parts in her living room. I kind of thought that the extra parts along the wall and on the couch brought a contemporary ambience to the house, but my wife ......well.... you know.

Ok. Done! This 2 week paint job really took 10 weeks (my wife kindly reminded me), but I am happy with the results (at least from 15 feet away). I still need to do the cut & buff, but that will be another time. I will post more pics once I get an opportunity. The last 2 weeks was refitting a new exhaust. I will probably create a post about my Exhaust story in the near future so that builders don't make the same mistake that I made.

Anyways, I want to thank Dan for his ongoing encouragement and insight with my T-18. Without his help I would not have had the motivation or know-how to complete this project. THANKS DAN. You ROCK!
