Hey all, the Thorp has been getting some attention here in the near past with the write up on the Ginns and such, there has been quite a bit of publicity given to our cause, all good Publicity and we are proud of it. We need a media smear of Thorp flights and such to be posted on You Tube and such to keep this rolling(this is just a thought) this all will promote the Thorp. For instance, checkout Iras keen video on you tube, titled Visalia Landing practice, (very greasy landing) it is of very good Quality. I know we don't all have the time all the time but again, this is just a thought. There are already several good videos on you tube of the Thorp maybe we can add a bunch more, what's say you.......Dan

I just got finished watching the video. Very Well done. One small critique - I couldn't tell what the 'tags' were. The only way I found the video was using the name above. When we post if we could all use "Thorp" or "T-18" - only Lee's and some others show up when I search that way.
I've got a GoPro ready to go when 66WT is 'airworthy' again.
Some of the Formation stuff that Cubes and others have been doing would be nice posted on Youtube as well…. I shot photos only at Kentucky Dam. The more Thorp Hype the better.

That's the way he lands all the time!! He is a very good Thorp Pilot, now when I do a landing I call it an "Event" sometimes I can log 3 landings in one event!! I used to think it was good practice but now Im looking for some softer air for the tires....Dan

Hummm ? 28 psi of Nitrogen or 28 psi of San Diego air ? Not sure if the expensive air is going to make my landings any softer , but the larger Nitrogen molecules will leak less and the moisture free air will reduce the amount of corrosion . Also if I have a brake fire the Nitrogen filled tubes will not feed the fire , no 02 . ??? BOOM !

Each time somebody see my T-18 inside the hangar I have the same answer!
Look at the nice Mustang or Wow Thierry you just buy a RV-6.......
And my response is always the same! No...this is a Thorp! A what..... :o
Since last year I never hear a good comment about my plane except on this forum ;)

You Thierry, have clearly been hanging with the wrong crowd.....but then again I may be
slightly biased. I come from a land where the Thorps out number the RVs.

It's just gotta be ignorance. I too was in that crowd before I bought my T-18.

We all were in that crowd at one time. I'm so fortunate to have fallen into this great group with an awesome airplane!
