Hi all, I received a phone call from Juanita Flatter this evening. Aug 25, 2013 there will be a memorial for Dave at his home strip in Ferndale Montana. He and Juanita live on this strip and the Memorial will be in his hanger. This memorial is not a public affair,just Dave's Family and closest friends will be attending.......Dave referred to the Thorp Folks as Family and Juanita said that is all he could talk about so the Thorp drivers are all invited. Ferndale is a turf strip I believe 3500 ft long and 95 ft wide and is in very good shape, this is where Dave flew his Thorp off all the time. The Identifier is 53U look it up on air nav it is a beautiful place. Here is the phone number for a Rice Keller,this gentleman s phone number is 406- 755- 4364. Juanita says this guy has all the info in regards to the air park he is an EAA member if I understood her correctly.
