I think the lower rudder bracket is drawing 577? I have looked through my box of drawings and cannot seem to find that one.
Does someone have a scanned copy of that part so that I can fabricate one?

I also have a dim memory of reading that JT intended the various bushings to be captured, especially the elevator bushings, such that the bushing did not rotate around the bolt, but instead the bolt is snugged down such that the bushing is fixed in place and the elevator fittings rotate around the bushing.
Is this correct?

Thank you.

Andrew

I'll send you a PM for your email address, but Cubes sells that part if interested. I don't have any info about the bushing.

To the best of my knowledge, there are only eight bolts used as hinges on the airframe; the two ends of the rudder cables and the ends of the flap cables. All the rest are captured bushings.

Thanks Bob, that confirms what I was remembering.

Thanks Ryan for the print. I found the print for the bushing, just not the part. As I mentioned, I'll root around some more and see if I don't happen to have the part, or if we want to make that a machining project for one Saturday morning. (For anyone wondering about losing track of things, the airplane and its parts have moved several times in the course of the divorce, a temporary house, back to the main house, and then to the hangar. Hopefully this collection of parts will be in tight formation this time next year. )

I have a list of other stuff I need to be purchasing, so I'm sure Cubes will be hearing from me soon enough...
