Actually 2 vents are planned and a third separate scupper drain.
The reason for the 2 vents was
Planning on using those small streamlined vents designed for wing tanks which come as a pair.
These fittings have a smaller opening than the usual vent tube cut at a 45 degree angle so the thinking was 2 vents may be needed to provide equivalent volume of ram air.
Also after reading a few stories where a stray bug has managed to block the only vent and caused fuel flow/ starvation problems, I thought a second vent would give an added margin of safety.
