12500 ft
2100 RPM
5.5 GPH

7+(3 * 5.5) = 23.5 Gal

5.5 on landing

Does take a 10 mph toll on the TAS though.

Does'nt seem worth the effort! Bob and I burned a heck of lot more.

We are back at LAL

The only effort I put into it was a straight climb to 12500 and pulling the prop and mixture back O wise one! ;)

1168* egt seems like quite a bit of fuel left to lean out! I guess that depends how far your sensors are from the exhaust port.

That's amazing burn for the speed. Not many things can true out at 168 and burn that low of fuel. What was the ground speed doing? heading south and west tends to suck with headwind.

Was doing 155 over the ground (yes there was a headwind). I don't over-lean, guess I could have stretched it a bit further if I had but I like my motor.

I'm not sure where yours peaks but on my JPI I peak just over 1500* F so 1100* F range is very low for me. I keep it 125* rich of peak in the max power range. On take off if I'm low 1200* range it will bog and fall on its face so I have to do a little leaning on high da days.

Of course, that will vary on engine and probe distance from exhaust port. I'm 4" from exhaust port.

That's a pretty good ground speed.
