Gents,

What is everyone else using for an analog gas gauge? Mine is junk, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I have an EI fuel monitor which works great, and would like to have an analog back-up that's consistent.

I have used a Stewart Warner gage and sender for 26 trouble-free years. Check with hot rod or boat supply shops.

Chuck...what type do you have? Sometimes it works, sometimes it don't ? Sounds like a wire problem ? I would tend to check that first, could be as simple as a loose ground. [;)] Do you have access to the sender w/o taking out the tank ? Access cover on top of the fus.?

Rich,

It's a Westach form Aircraft Spruce. This intermittent operation has happened before and it indeed was a loose ground at the base of the sending which was repaired by a local A&P. The Ground wire attach point on the unit seemed a bit "cheesy" from the start and I wouldn't be surprised if that's the culprit again.

Thanks.

Chuck
