I'm interested in joining. I'd be up for two nights at the hotel, Friday and Saturday night.

I'll check with the rest of the KC Thorp contingent as well.

We have a block of 9 rooms June 10-12 at the Culpeper under "Scott". I included the 10th for those folks planning arrive on Thursday. Reserve what you need. The room rate in $96/night. This is the busy summer season so the cancellation policy is two weeks. However, if a major storm is forecast for the whole weekend we will have the option of rescheduling the fly-in. Please plan accordingly. The Inn had a very difficult season last year and I'm just happy they are still open. If you attended the last ECG fly-in you know why we're going back...

If you would like a rental car you can book it through Enterprise at 252-335-1601 (select * once the recording starts and the local office will answer) and they will deliver to the airport. Unless you're planning to strike out on your own you won't really need one. We'll take care of transportation to/from the Inn. We'll have access to a private bar and our dinners will be catered as well so you can plan to relaxing at the bar/pool in the evenings.

The Waltons are booked 10-13 ... looking forward to it ... now I just need to get my airplane back in operation or use the backup (which is not offensive at all).

Scott, it looks like I'll be the solo KC Thorp on-site. Still working negotiations, but we'll need one room in any case.

Do I need to call and finalize the reservation?

Guys, it's with much regret that I must let you know that Jamie and I will not be able to make it to Elizabeth City this year. My plane is just not going to be ready. I started an avionics upgrade right after Sun n Fun and I'm just not going to be done in time. I considered grabbing Wendell's plane but that's a 4 hour drive then a 7+ hour flight to the East coast, that just does not sound fun at this point. See you guys at Oshkosh!

Lee, fly into ORF and I’ll pick you up. I’ll share my plane...

Thanks for the generous offer Scott ... unfortunately it's just not going to work out for us this year.

DrDrift,

There is only one room left at the Culpepper. If you're still planning to attend please call quickly. I've tried to send a couple of PM's but they're just sitting in my outbox...

Scott,

Thanks for checking on this and for your reminder. I've been hesitant to book because I'm still getting the airplane ready and I'm not sure I'll have it done in time. I'll know for certain by Friday and will let you know.

These are the words of a man who has his priorities straight. I wish I could say the same about me. I'm still a transponder troubleshoot and fuel leak away from being ready. I'll have to pass this time. Sorry for the KC no-show. Thanks for all your effort organizing this Scott.
