You are close. We always have it on Columbus Day weekend which is OCT 11-13 but some will be there on the 10th. We hope to see you there.

Karen talked to the resort today and they are saving 25 rooms for us until September 10. Come on folks, lets fill them up. Tell them you are with the Paine party to get the better rate. Also we hear that Patti’s restaurant should be open again by then so we can have our usual Friday night pork chops.

Kentucky Dam is now a short flight away for me and I intend to join this year.

Bob promised me that he'd teach us low, inverted formation passes down the runway. I'm excited.

I’m planning to be there this year. N12055 is flying great and she should make the distance.

We have been in contact with the folks down at Kentucky dam. First of all Patti’s will not be open in time. We are all disappointed but it will be a couple more weeks. So it looks like we will go to the Oasis as we have in the past on Thursday night. For Friday night there is a new place across from where Patti’s was called TJ Larsons that is affiliated with Patti’s. We can’t make reservations there but we can browse some of the local shops while waiting for our seats. Afterwards if you want dessert we found a nice ice cream shop just down the block last year. On Saturday night we will be at the lodge as usual. We can’t get the private dining room but after we eat we can go upstairs to the private meeting room that we used a couple years ago for our meeting. Sunday is usually meet in the lodge dining room as we do every other morning and then head on home.
I have not heard if there is going to be anything happening down at Murray as in years past.

I talked to Jim Fain from Murray today. Unfortunately, their fish fry is this weekend, same as Olney's fly-in.

Seeing that our fish fry tradition is not going to work out this year ... what do you guys think of trying another destination lunch ... Perhaps Rough River?

The lodge there is an easy walk from the runway. It is another state run resort.

Another option might be SIK, Sikeston, MO. Lamberts, home of the thrown rolls runs a shuttle from the airport, no waiting in line

Outing probably needs to go where there is fuel.

Post subject:  Re: Ky Dam 2019

That sounds good too ... Bob's right we do need to account for fuel
