Bummer Fraser....
Man, I barely made it out of Tahoe where it was snowing yesterday....moved in sooner than forecasters. 'Had to climb up thru a hole to 14000, but at least I knew just to the west it was clear.....that weather is probably what you are getting now as it moved east.

Bop down to Boulder City for a great dinner and stay the night any time! I have a casita waiting on you guys.

Poopstain!!.....I just cancelled the room reservations. The Wx is not cooperating - have a cold front parked just to the west - it was supposed to blow through here early today, allowing She WHo Eye Wership and I clear passage to KTPH, then around the southern end of the Sierras, around the TFRs and on to KVIS. Tomorrow looks ugly for most of the day, with Saturday questionable as well as the return trip on Sunday into headwinds and dodgy weather. As both Darc and I have big commits on Monday, I can't risk the journey over that terrain in potential low ceilings and stiff winds - sorry guys - my first miss of the this fly in.....grumpy noises!!

Tailwinds to the rest of you, Have fun and fly safe!!

Visiting 87 yr old mom in Monterey now.

You couldn't have asked for better WX for the Central Valley !! :o Me pics are bad and fuzzy so none from me . I am sure there were enough cameras there to get the point across . Love the EAA park !!

KVIS 2017 is in the history books, had a great turnout, good food and some fun. This years
gathering was laid back and slow paced, hope everyone got some rest along with fun and food. Thanks to Ira and Missy and also brother Dean, the Gathering would not have been what it was without their special efforts. THankyou all for the great turnout, all of those who attended your presence there made the weekend another great weekend to remember..Blessings to all......Dan

Thanks all for hosting another terrific T-18 gathering. The weather was great, the food hit the spot, and the company was terrific.

Here are some pics to show that it wasn't ALL "laid-back and slow-paced." There are always some holes in that Visalia sky that just needed some punchin'.

Thanks again! - Tony n Starr

Thanks all for a great time! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting everybody on Saturday. Seeing the great examples of Thorps up close and personal is priceless for learning more about the aircraft. A special thank you to Dan for the invite, Ira for the flight, as well as Gloria and Missy for the behind the scenes work, food, and great hospitality.

Thanks Again! Jonathan

Bruce and Diane returned home Monday evening after an enjoyable time in Visalia and stopping in San Jose to visit family.

Thanks to Dan, Ira, Dean, Missy and Gloria for a great get together, the weather could not have been better (high 70s to low 80s and sunshine).

Again we ran into weather less than 100 miles from home but unlike after Sedona we were able get under the low ceilings. Should have gone Sunday with Gary and Chuck, they had blue skies all the way.
