Sounds like we need a Camp Scholler Thorp HQ.

Do Thorps have designated parking on the flight line?

Yes Don, just south of HB headquarters, the line guys will guide you in they know the aircraft types. There's a possibility they may sit you with the MMII but we're usually next to each other anyhow.

If anyone is interested or passing through we will be having what has become the usual saturday before OSH activities at KOLY in southeastern Illinois. I believe the Texas contingent will be arriving that morning. It looks like we will have 2 locals, one from effingham, one or two from Terre Haute, one from Alton and possibly one from northern Missouri. Nothing formal, just flying and ride hopping. We will have sandwich makings at the airport for lunch and if you stay long enough we usually go as a group to the mexican restaurant that evening. 8 thorp owners in one location is pretty good by any standard. All are welcome. Sunday morning Lee, Scott and I will be heading on up to OSH. Hope to see the rest of you there. David

Aw shucks guys, you're making it hard on me. I dreamed many years of parking in that elite squadron of T-18s with you on the flight line. But I ought to stay in HBC with a good friend who invited me to come. We're a flight of 2 from NM (used to work a lot together). Nevertheless, I'll see you there and can roll it over for Thursday morning display. What an honor to be invited in!

Les.

Well I'm ar OSH.

It is already HOT and super muggy! Todays high 88 and humid. High chance of T-storms afternoon and evening.

Good news, cooling and lower humidity starting tomorrow Saturday July 22, and into the early part of the week!

Looking forward to seeing the gaggle of Thorps and Thorpies!

Diane and I have arrived from Seattle via a week in the Boston area, left the plane at home. Currently visiting with my cousin and doing laundry. Plan on going to the show tomorrow to see what's happening.

I'm leaving tonight for OSH, flying commercially. Les, I'm looking forward to seeing your bird! Safe travels, everyone.

At least seven Thorps on the field not counting Don Taylor's. Nice dinner at Fox River Brewery following snacks at the Scola camper.
