Both my wife and I will be attending.

We will probably stay at the Super 8 in Calvert City to save a few dollars.

Last year I got my first ride in a thorp. Thanks guys!

Now it will be my brides turn if the weather works out.

Looking forward to it!

Spoke with Jim Fain today and put the Thorp Group down for 20/25 for their annual free fish fry
For the new comers, this is all you can eat catfish and fixings at the Murray Airport Saturday noon

I'll be there for sure, that is always a fun day. I think there will be a few first timers down there this year. I know of one that just brought his new thorp home to Indiana yesterday. And I have been talking to a couple others that are looking to buy. I have been bragging to them how much fun we have that weekend. Y'all come. David

Both my wife and I will be there! 2nd time for me. Will be the 1st time for my wife at KY-Dam.

We will be there via car. The couple days prior we will be in Oneida TN, staying at and looking into the Big South Fork airpark. These guys we have talked to in a booth each year at Oshkosh for the last few years. And we got a "free" 2 night stay with a meal and rental car. Since I love airplanes, and dear wife loves horses. This is the only air park I have heard of that has access to BOTH the airport (t-Hangars) AND an equestrian center. We are checking it out as possible future retirement location. As both my wife and I don't necessarily want to have to deal with snow in retirement, but we also love the 4 seasons and don't think we can really take the heat of FL or AZ or the like adn don't want to be snow birds and have to maintain two homes/properties. Seems like maybe TN will be a pretty decent compromise.

I'm looking forward to the event and the flying and of course the fish fry and thick pork chop!!!!

I'll be there for sure too. My wife has to work that weekend, so it'll just be me. My new Thorp isn't ready yet :o , so I'll be driving in from PA. I've made my arrangements for the lodge staying over Saturday night. Looking forward to see you all!

So will hurricane Matthew cause problems for those in the south and FL to make it this weekend to KY Dam?

Currently I'm in Oneida TN and it is awesome weather!

Obama was going to be a bigger problem with restricted airspace, but he canceled.
Weather looks flyable early Thursday, we should be on our way.
Deb and I have flown through two Cat1 hurricanes in the past. Other than rain it's nice flying

Didn't plan on leaving until Friday morning and if we get the rain that is forecast I won't be able to use our grass runway. I may have to cancel. I will come if I can!
