Great that KD2017 is still a go. T'would have been a shame for all that planned spontaneity to be wasted. This is for a different thread, but I might be willing to organize a Spring gathering. There are a lot of potential venues, but I always thought the Niagara Falls area would be a good spot. (CYSN) The Canadian War Plane Heritage Museum in Hamilton (CYHM) has a GREAT collection of WWII airplanes, including one of the two last flying Lancaster Bombers. There are a number of other places nearby, including Tillsonburg for the Canadian Harvard Association (T6). For the ladies, Niagara is huge wine country and the Shaw Festival is World Class Theatre. There's also World Class Shakespearean Theatre in Stratford, CYSA, about a 20 minute hop. Tell ya what - if you're interested email me privately. If I get ten or more responses, I'll start a thread. Dick Wolff ----> edwolff (at) bmts (dot) com For Socialists we're pretty good folk... we're just like you guys except we're unarmed. :-) Our dollar is cheap right now, but sadly AVGAS works out to about the same. We say Eh? a lot. You WILL need a valid passport, not so much to get into Canada, but to get back home. The eAPIS and border crossing process to get back to the US is intimidating, but it's actually not too bad once you get on to it. I can publish a guide if there's enough interest to pull this off. |

I have valid passport and I think my customs stamp is up to date. I have heard it is difficult for a US citizen to get back in his country. I can climb over the fence I guess and be welcomed ? Bill |

Bill, There's no fence on the northern boarder, easy peasy just walk across no climbing required. That said the customs decal is only good for the calendar year, the good news it's only $27.50 for the year. |

Actually, Bill, we're building a wall and making you pay for it. |
